I am creating a unit plan for secondary english students on slavery. I
am looking for any information/ideas/thoughts that may be helpful. I
will be focusing on slavery in the United States but I would also like
any information about slavery in other countries, various forms of
slavery, etc. Any lesson plans, book titles, movie titles,
museums/showcases in the Madison, WI area would be wonderful.
Also, do you have any ideas about how I can really relate to students
and how students can really relate to the material?

would like to suggest Aphra Behn Oroonoko, (the rover and other works)
(penguin; isbn- 0140433384) It gives and interesting and alternate view of
slavery. It may be dense, but it is at least worth a look.
