How difficult is it for a native English speaker to learn Korean? More options

Question: How tough is it to learn the Korean language if you're a native English speaker?

Answer: I read somewhere that Korean is one of the 3 most difficult languages in the world to learn. I've found it to be a very logical language, but advanced calculus is also quite logical. It certainly didn't help that my college Korean professor couldn't teach a dog to eat a steak...

Perhaps it's the English to Korean that makes it so difficult. The languages have almost no structural similarities at all. Korean conjugation of verbs is, of course, quite complex.

I've laid off studying Korean for the past few years. Haven't needed it much here in Kentucky. However, since we've started attending a Korean church, I'm starting to study again.
