I would like to learn English.
Does anyone have a suggestion, how I can learn english at home (after work)?
Perhaps anyone can recommend me a multimedia-PC program (DVD, Video, CD..)
or a comparable method for a newbie (?)
At the moment I speak and understand not very much

think one of the best things to do is to hear spoken english on the radio
while you are doing something else (like eating). Just listening
is enough to increase your passive vocabulary, and then if there is
a conversation course near you, for example VHS, that would help too.
I expect you learned (or refreshed) a littel english whle composing#your
message to this group. Tell us a little about yourself, how old, how thin?
