I've decided that if I ever knew the correct use of apostrophes, I am
confused now. It doesn't mean I can't understand text that uses them, by
their context though.
Perhaps someone could point us to a ' Grammar Website ', which includes
them. Is there such a site anyone?

they're = they are
One big trouble with English grammar is that too many people think it's
(=it is) the same as Latin grammar. It isn't (is not). When this was
pointed out a whole lot of other people though that English grammar didn't
(did not) exist so scrapped the teaching of English grammar.
English grammar exists. It isn't (student's turn ;-) Latin grammar and
it's (!) hardly ever been taught.
I was taught Latin grammar at school (for English) and have used English
grammar for AI experimentation but I tend to use an unholy mix of English
and e-mail here! ;-)
So is "it's" acceptable in place of "it has
