Well, not sure what you mean. "Second language acquisition" is a specific
term used by Stephen Krashen in his theory of L2 learning. He claims there
is a difference between L2 learning and L2 acquisition. I don't buy it,
personally. Anyway, Krashen is associated with the Natural Approach.
Your use of the terms is a little confusing. But I think the answer to your
question is: It depends on which region of the world you want to look at as
well as on the particular teacher.
