Answer:
My name is Tyrone. I live in America. I have been trying to learn
French on my own since around August 2004. I borrow French Course
Beginner Cassette Tapes and the French English Dictionary from the
Boston Public Library.
I am finding it very difficult to learn French on my own. Even though
I listen to the cassette tapes with my headphones on, initially I be
repeating the phrases like the French speaker be saying but then as the
tape goes on I have difficulty in repeating more phrases. So, for now I
am going to curtail my effort in trying to learn to speak French on my
own and I am going to concentrate on learning to read and write French.
I think it would be better for me to learn to read and write French
instead, in which I think I would fair much better. Since I would have
access to a discussion group with other people who are trying to learn
how to read and write the French language.
I saw your post on alt.France for anyone who wants to learn how to read
and write the French language. That will be sufficient for me. I will
be content with just learning to read and write French.
I have bookmarked your website. It is around 12:10am EST at night in
America. In Paris it should be around 6:10am in the morning. I will be
studying on the website to learn how to read and write French. Perhaps
someday I will visit Paris and other parts of France. I am signing off.
