At one time the walls in many Philadelphia neighborhoods were covered with graffiti, today they are covered with murals. 2. Since 1984 a city-sposored program has been teaming young graffiti writers with professional artist, the result is the creation of over one thousand works of public art. 3. The murals are large, they are colorful, they are 99 percent graffiti free. 4.A forty-foot-tall mural of Julius (' Dr. J. ' ) Erving has become a local landmar, even Dr. J. himself brings friends by to see it. 5. The theory befind the program is that graffiti writers, being inherently artistic, will not deface a work of ast they respect, so far the theory holds.

Answer: If I've understood your assignment correctly, your task is to identify where commas are used incorrectly, i.e. where they're used to separate full sentences etc. If I'm right in this assumption the sentences should be as follows: ...were covered with graffiti. Today... OR ...graffiti, but today professional artists. The result... OR ...artists, and the result... large, colourful, and 99 percent graffiti free. ...landmark. Even... OR ...landmark, and even... they respect. So far... OR ...respect, and so far...
