Question:
have a doc who's giving Spanish terms that physicians should know that
their Hispanic patients may use. I have gotten some of them through trial
and error but still lack a couple if someone has any ideas:
s/l comolodie or homolodie maybe---means a relative or friend who gives
advice, usually medical advice
s/l cudandero --- meaning healer
And no laughing at my s/l spelling either.
Answer:
Okay got another one, not Spanish, but said in Spanish accent so I am having
a heck of a time:
This guy is very, very ESL and he is talking about sinusitis. He keeps
mentioning what sounds like (infindibulum) which I know is not even close to
what he is trying to say but with that accent, who knows. Anyway it is where
the maxilla and frontal sinuses drain and is close to the ethmoid. I have
looked at every anatomy pic I can find and see nothing that sounds even
close to what he is trying to say, even if I tried it with an accent. Thanks
in advance.
