Question:
I'm looking for fun ESL activities and games. I especially like
photocopiable material like that found in the Jill Hadfield series. If
anyone has any references and names of editors, I'd appreciate any info.
Also, I'd love to correspond with other ESL teachers to share ideas for
activities, tricks for classroom management, etc
Answer:
You might want to check out some of the books by Penny Ur published by
Cambridge UP. They are basically beginner to advanced level activity
banks whose format is aimed principally at the ESL teacher (i.e., they are
not activity books as such). They are not very glamorous, but I have
successfully implemented (or adapted) many of these activities a number of
times. One of these books, _Grammar Practice Activities_, is especially
useful if you are looking for activities to target specific grammar
themes.
