Question:
I'd like to improve my English in a four-week summer/autumn course.
There seem to be so many (good) schools I have a hard time to
decide on any one of them... I'm a teacher of E. in a primary school,
and (a successful) translator, and I would really like to find a
course where I could improve my general knowledge of the language AND
combine it with, let's say, a literary workshop or another course
from the field of media or translation studies.
Answer:
Well, I'd suggest deciding *where* you would like to go first, and then
look for a school in that area which offers what you wish to study. That
should help narrow things down quite a bit. You could also throw in *how
much you are willing to spend, just to shorten the list.
1 - LOCATION(s)
2 - Institutions offering desired courses
3 - Price Range
On a more concrete level, I've noticed that International House, in
London, has a lot of interesting short-term teacher development courses.
I think Pilgrims does, too. The British seem to be more geared to
short-term "vacation" courses
