if anyone had any information about Czech classes for english speaking people in Prague?

Question: Im a student currently studying computer science in the UK, and have lived in London all my life. My father is Czech, and although Ive been visiting Prague all my life and half of my faily live there, I have never learnt to speak the language. I am hoping to spend next year in Prague learning Czech, and was wondering if anyone had any information about Czech classes for english speaking people in Prague?

Answer: my advice would be not to learn Czech and not to waste too much time with languages in general. The reason is that compared to the effort you put into it, the benefits are meager. And the future is even worse. Even the best of business deals can be made in sign language as I often witness it in New York, 8-)#.

Studying computer science you have one heck of a desirable activity to concentrate on. But if you want to connect the two or learn the language just for the fun of it, then the best tactics in my opinion, is to live with young people like yourself who speak Czech and no English. You just will be forced to repeat after them and consult the books to clear up the puzzles only. The classes are just a theory, but you need the practice, intensive talking and listening among Czechs.
