Question: Is anyone aware of a good website discussing the use of definite, indef. and zero article in English? I mean the kind of discussion - thorough, clear and precise. More or less like the one in the R. Quirk's English Grammar.

I've been looking for this on the web, but what there is is total trash, completely useless, compatible only with tv-era.

Answer: Sorry I can't give you a web page but I can refer you to a more normative grammar than Quirk. This is R.W. Zandvoort's Handbook of English Grammar - ninth edition J.B. Wolters Groningen - 1964. Originally written for Dutch speakers you might find it more practical and directly applicable than the more theoretical writings of later authorities. You could probably find it a library.
