I think one of the strongest skills ANY programmer could use is the ability
to communicate effectively. Too many times I have seen documentation written
so horribly that I would stop trying to understand the logic of a program
and start trying to understand the logic of the programmer's comments. I
think it is funny that it has become sort of a personal stereotype I have
developed. That is not to say that it isn't a stereotype at all. In this
profession I have heard many jokes about the "average programmer" who writes
interoffice memo's in psuedocode. We are not stupid people. In fact where
probably smarter than most out there, C was just our first language.
