Is that acceptable to native English speakers?

Question: I am a Chinese from Hong Kong.

The local Chinese here shout "encore" as in "lend" in concerts, which I find difficult to tolerate.

Is that acceptable to native English speakers?

Answer: As a native Enlgish speaker, I find it reasonablke when words go native and are pronounced as they are spelled. I myself pronounce 'encore' with a short 'o' in the first syllable, a rough approximation of the French pronunciation -- it is a not-completely settled word in English.

However if the Chinese shout 'Encore' with a short 'e', isn't that a matter of Chinese pronunciation? Or at least of Chinese English
