has anybody know about any CD-ROM or any other multimedia source
of (British) English pronunciation? I learned to speak that way,
and I would like to improve, but now in the US it is more diffi-
cult to find such a thing (for obvious reasons.)
Answer:
I don't know of any with specifically British pronunciation, but most
CD-ROM dictionaries pronounce the words. The new Compton's
Encyclopedia includes such a dictionary. I've always used Microsoft's
Bookshelf, which has a dictionary (with pronunciation), concise
encyclopedia, thesaurus, and book of quotes. There are other similar
CD-ROMs.
