Question:
I am currently a high school junior with a pretty difficult schedule
this year. This year, I am taking AP US History, Honors English, H.
French IV, H. Chem, H. Precal, and a talented and gifted class on
International Affairs. In the upcoming few weeks, I must decide which
AP courses to take for next year. So, I would like people's
opinions/reviews about these classes:
AP European History, AP English, AP French, AP Physics B, or AP
Calculus.
All of these classes seem to be interesting, but I don't want my head
to explode in my senior year. Also, a local community college may
teach an English course at my high school. How would a college
compare this English course to the AP English class?
Answer:
AP European History is a lot of work, but it's very interesting. It's
the hardest of the AP Social Science exams, but it's the most
interesting (I think). If you take AP Lang/Comp English then there
will probably be large work load, but eventhough it's hell you will
lean a lot., AP Literature English is much easier.
If it's AP Languange/Composition then the college class will not
compare. The AP class is much more intense and it will teach you how
to write better.
